Well finally broke down and watched Last Jedi, was not impressed. It wasn't that it was poorly written (it was), it wasn't that they bastardized long standing characters (they did), it wasn't that canon was ignored (again it was), it wasn't even that Rey is the very definition of a mary sue (oh how she was) it was simply stupid. Logic was ignored, and every trope imaginable was used. Was it awful, yes. Yes it was.

How about we remember 12/7, or 4/19, or 3/6, or any of the other horrendous incidents that have happened in this country??? Oh wait that's right it happened in NYC....

Fyi, no one cares, who you are, what you are, what you think you are, who you fuck or how you live your life, because the fact is they are just too damn busy trying to survive their own lives, and in all honesty you just aren't all that important.

I watched a video (about a RPG Call of Cthulhu) today where the person doing the video kept bringing up the fact that HP Lovecraft was a racist, and making it a reason not to like his work. OK HP was a racist, so what? So was everyone else at the time he lived, that doesn't make him evil or good it just makes him a product of his time. I get so incredibly tired of today's generations judging people who lived decades, even centuries ago by today's "standards". I'm sorry people, but everyone is sculpted by the times they live in, and for people today to judge them is no less bigoted than those they are judging. What HP was, is xenophobic in a clinical sense. He grew up in a broken home where his father died in a sanitarium from complications of syphilis. He was raised by a obsessive mother who in today's world would more than likely been diagnosed with Munchhausen syndrome. Just found out we now have Muslim vigilantes running around NYC dress in uniforms and driving cruisers that are nearly identical to NYCPD,and guess what? Nothing is being done about it. What do you think would happen if a white Christian group did the same? There would be cries of racism, xenophobia etc. etc. gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair and within days arrests would be made. Makes me want to move down south where a person can be unashamedly American and there are heavily armed red necks to protect me. (it's OK I come from a long line of red necks and hillbillies)
